Child Safety Standards Policy

QURLI'S CHILD SAFETY STANDARDS POLICY

1. Introduction

This document outlines our compliance with and commitment to enforcing strict protocols and prohibitions against child endangerment, child sexual abuse and exploitation within the QURLI app. This policy applies to all QURLI app users and highlights our dedication to child protection. This Policy should be used as a supplement to our comprehensive Terms and Conditions (here), which provide detailed explanation of the rules, limitations, rights and responsibilities associated with using QURLI. We strongly encourage all QURLI users to review the Terms and Conditions (here) to ensure a thorough understanding and full compliance.

We adhere to all relevant child safety laws and reporting obligations. When we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or child grooming on our platform, we will take immediate action in compliance with applicable laws. Violations of this policy will result in immediate action, including content removal, account removal and reporting to relevant authorities. This includes, but is not limited to, removing any detected CSAM and reporting it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) via their CyberTipline, who may then share the report with relevant local and global law enforcement authorities. All confirmed CSAM incidents are reported as required and our internal compliance procedures are regularly reviewed and updated to meet legal standards and industry best practices.

2. Standards

Users who are not at least 18 years old, or older when explicitly required by applicable state laws, are not permitted to use QURLI. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from minors. For more information about age restrictions please refer to our Terms and Conditions (here).

QURLI maintains strict standards prohibiting all forms of content, activities, or interactions that threaten, depict, or enable child exploitation, whether through actual or simulated portrayals. This includes any content that could harm children by involving them in or exposing them to inappropriate, abusive, or sexually explicit situations. These standards apply not only to real children but also to depictions resembling children, such as fictional characters, digitally generated images, dolls, or similar portrayals.

In alignment with this policy, a child is defined as anyone under the age of 18. It is strictly forbidden to upload, store, produce, share, or solicit others to share child sexual abuse material (CSAM) for any reason, including raising awareness or expressing outrage. This commitment ensures a safe environment for all users and reinforces QURLI’s dedication to child protection.

3. Prohibited conduct

We enforce a zero-tolerance policy against child sexual exploitation, abuse, or endangerment. QURLI does not allow content that sexualizes or endangers children, real or fictional. This includes all forms of media, any visual depiction, not limited to anime, illustrations, drawings, text, photos and digital images. Any visual depictions or discussions of sexually explicit conduct involving a child are strictly prohibited, including:

Sexual content and inappropriate depictions

Any portrayal of sexual acts or stimulation involving children, whether real or simulated, that includes, but is not limited to:

  • Explicit sexual acts, such as visible sexual intercourse or oral contact with private body parts.
  • Implied sexual acts, where contact is suggested but not directly depicted.
  • Any form of stimulation involving children, even if implied.

Content that depicts children in suggestive or inappropriate contexts, which includes, but is not limited to:

  • Situations involving restraints, sexualized costumes, or environments implying sexual intent.
  • Visual elements that emphasize private body parts or inappropriate physical contact.
  • Imagery that shows or suggests by-products of adult sexual activities.

Solicitation, grooming and inappropriate interactions

Any requests, sharing, or distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Requests for or possession of sexualized or explicit images of children, whether real or digitally created.
  • Attempts to arrange, promote, or solicit encounters with children for sexual purposes, including online grooming or establishing inappropriate relationships.

The same applies to activities that involve or expose children to sexual content or inappropriate discussions, including, but is not limited to:

  • Engaging children in private conversations that involve sexually explicit topics or requests for inappropriate imagery.
  • Deliberately exposing children to sexual content or inappropriate language, in either private messages or public communications.

Sexualization and objectification

Portrayal that implies or promotes a sexualized image of children. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Media, such as images, videos, artwork, or other content, that sexualizes or objectifies children, whether real or digitally created.
  • Groups, pages, or profiles specifically created to promote or depict children in a sexualized manner.

Coercion, blackmail and sextortion

Content that attempts to coerce children into providing intimate material or favors through threats, blackmail or manipulation, which includes, but is not limited to:

  • Attempts to share or threats to expose private sexual imagery or intimate conversations involving children.
  • Content that uses coercion, manipulation, or threats to obtain material or interactions from children under duress.

Inappropriate depictions of nudity

Explicit images of children's private parts, either uncovered or partially covered by transparent materials, emojis, or other graphics. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Imagery of children that implies sexual intent or focuses inappropriately on nudity on the entire body.

Child abuse, even if non-sexual

All visual content showing abuse of children, regardless of context, is prohibited on QURLI.

4. Prevention and in-app mechanism for filling reports

To ensure user safety and prevention and detection of scams, fraudulent activities, and violations of laws and regulations, principles, guidelines and other QURLI policies, we use a combination of manual moderation and automated systems to monitor and review pictures and texts from chat conversations and Personal ads on QURLI. We are continuously enhancing and developing our systems and moderation processes based on new technological developments, regulatory changes, and findings from internal audits. Reports involving CSEA, CSAM and other priority illegal content are triaged and prioritized for immediate action. We also conduct regular internal reviews aimed at reducing response times, improving the speed and accuracy of content detection and removal, educating and training our moderation team. For more information about this please refer to our Terms and Conditions (here) and Privacy Policy (here).

Additionally, we provide an in-app mechanism that allows users to submit reports regarding any content or interactions that may endanger children. This feature is accessible within the QURLI app, ensuring users can report suspicious behaviour or content without leaving the platform. Each report is treated with urgency and reviewed in accordance with our Child Safety Standards policy.

You can send us reports directly from your QURLI app or chat conversations to notify us of any issues with specific members of the community, ads or other violations. Click on the menu icon (with three dots) inside the chat or in the ad feed, select "Report" and choose the reason for the report.

Users can also contact support via the user profile settings screen by clicking the "Contact" button, or by emailing us at [email protected] for any concerns related to Child Safety Standards Policy violations.

You can contact us at [email protected] or [email protected], if you believe we have made a mistake by taking action against your account or content.
